My art design of Kentucky Mountains and Lake in Winter Quilt, an Abstract

Dear Gentle Readers,

Some of my latest works are digital but inspired by quilts that I have seen and designs that I came up with myself. Using the mindset of an quilter I created "Kentucky Mountains and Lake in Winter Quilt Abstract" and "Mountain Lake Quilted" as if I used long strips of material, but it is digital. I used contrasting colors for each "strip of material."

I live in Kentucky close to a Lake and several Marinas. My drive each time I go into town is down a steep mountain. It is beautiful and green even in the winter because of the cedar, pine and hemlock trees.

The lake is one of the largest man made lakes in the state. I have the pleasure of driving over many bridges that over look this beautiful lake. I had the pleasure of rescuing a freshwater jellyfish while visiting the lake. I was told that the presence of jellyfish in a freshwater lake is a good indication of a very balanced eco-system in the lake.

I have to admit that living around a lake in these mountains is an inspiration for much of my art. I have been to the ocean many times and I love the ocean but living close to the lake is as rewarding.
